The Mathematics Passport

The ‘Mathematics Passport’ is a strategy used across the whole school to improve children’s mental maths skills.

Highly trained Year Six pupils will work with your child’s year group once a week to check their progress and set them new passport skills to practice.

Alongside each passport you will find a support sheet with example questions to assist your child at home. These questions could be asked as part of their weekly mathematics homework.

The passport starts in Reception and the aim is to complete all the stages by Year 6. Your child will hopefully be able to support younger children in the school to develop their number skills as a platinum badge holder!
