Learning can look different for each of our pupils as it is bespeaking to their individual needs. Lessons are differentiated to each child’s ability and learning style. Pupils are supported by an adult but have the opportunity and encouragement to develop their independent skills. During the day learning can also be creative and play based with many opportunities to explore through sensory experiences either in our classroom, outside in our outdoor area or in our multi-sensory area.
The intervention that we can provide through Therapeutic Inclusion can really unlock a child’s possibilities. The Resource Provision at Vision House is a nurturing environment, providing excellent opportunities so that each child can maximise their learning potential. It is a safe, inclusive space where individuals are expected to work to the best of their abilities, share their needs, wants, and wishes in a nurturing environment and be celebrated for their individual successes.
The triangular approach is our toolkit with interventions that we can offer to support a child's differing area of need. These are based upon our three main curriculum areas: developers, drivers and enhancers. This approach allows us to tailor interventions following a child-centred approach.
